LIVE FOREVER

Two tips to become the world’s oldest woman, from the world’s oldest woman

Want to live forever, at least into your hundreds? Besse Cooper, who has turned 116 years old recently, gives some simple advice.

WANT TO BE crowned one day as the world’s oldest woman? Besse Cooper, who actually is the oldest woman in the world, tells us how.

Celebrating her 116th birthday recently, the former teacher from Georgia has retained her title by hitting this milestone birthday.

In 2011, the Guinness World Records certified that Besse was indeed the oldest lady on the planet.

She did have to relinquish her title for a short period when it was discovered that Maria Gomes Valentim from Brazil was 48 days older.

However, Maria died in June 2011 and Besse was given back her title and has held onto it ever since.

Born in 1896 in Tennessee, Besse has four children, 12 grandchildren and plenty of great-grandchildren.

So how does someone get to live so long? Is it a life time of going to the gym and doing yoga at sun rise? Apparently it is a lot simpler than that.

Besse said the secret to her longevity is:

I mind my own business and I don’t eat junk food.
