That’s why we need a hero like Manchester artist Wanksy, who’s taken it upon him or herself (the BBC and Buzzfeed think it’s a he) to draw penises around potholes in order to draw attention to them.
Wanksytold the BBC that his work has meant that potholes in the Greater Manchester area have been fixed more quickly.
Local councils feel a little differently about it, with one spokesperson in Bury calling it “obscene”.
They may have a point…
Somewhere out there, an Irish vigilante Wanksy just purchase his or her first can of spraypaint, and is heading out on the roads of Donegal and Kerry to right some wrongs.
