REESE WITHERSPOON IS an acting treasure (as well as prime girl crush material). This much we know. And now it turns out that she’s one of our own.
On last night’s episode of Conan, a delighted Witherspoon announced that she had recently taken a genealogy test and discovered that she’s 63% Irish.
I had no idea. I thought I was Scottish and Welsh. It turns out my parents are just full of s**t. Now I’m Irish and it just makes so much sense.
I’m a really good drinker. I love St Patrick’s Day. Potatoes are delicious. I’m looking forward to meeting all my cousins.
Atta girl.
She then proceeded to say things like, “‘Tis in my genes,” and “That Conan O’Brien, he’s such a nice fella” in her best (read: bad) Irish accent.
Not everyone approved of her Irish accent.
But we’re just happy she’s happy.
