ADELE KICKED OFF her first tour since 2011 last night in Belfast – and by all accounts it was quite a show.
But halfway through, Adele welcomed a woman on stage for a very special event – she was set to propose to her boyfriend in the crowd.
But it didn’t go well
She brought her up on stage
It turned out that she had already asked her boyfriend to marry her earlier that day
To which he said “maybe in a little while”
Noooooo.
At this point the crowd had started booing – perhaps understanding the mortifying nature of proceedings unfolding before them.
Then Adele tried to salvage the whole situation by getting the crowd to shout “come on, Neil” in unison
And then the woman left the stage, with Adele saying to Neil “I can see you shaking your head.”
That did not go to plan.
At least everyone else had a good time
