MATILDA THE CAT is now internet famous – but not in the normal way cats attain such lofty status.
You see, Matilda has a rare genetic eye condition that has caused her to go blind. An Instagram account was set up by her owners to chart her life, and it’s become ridiculously popular:
The Instagram – wonderfully titled ‘alien cat Matilda’ – has nearly 60,000 followers. All of them absolutely love Matilda and her alien-like eyes.
Her owners are using the page to raise funds for her and similar animals in distress, and Matilda’s popularity is skyrocketing:
The GoFundMe account set up for poor Matilda has already raised $2560 – and it will go to a good cause, as her owners write on the fundraising page:
