The font on this American shop's tote bag makes it look like it spells 'Hitler' instead of 'glitter'

Typefacepalm.

BELLECHIC IS AN online fashion brand based in Arizona, USA that sells everything from jewellry to clothing and accessories.

They’ve built up quite a following online, but they’ve never received as much attention on the internet as they have in the past 24 hours.

Why? Well, a font issue on one of their products has been discovered:

The “MY FAVORITE COLOR IS GLITTER” black tote bag could be misread from a distance

Namely, the word glitter unquestionably looks like it’s spelling out Hitler.

Lads.

The typeface oversight has gone very viral today

It’s been leapt on as proof, once again, that fonts matter

Still no word on the exact colour match for Hitler

BelleChic has not acknowledged the mistake with a statement (yet), and the tote bag can still be purchased on its site for $12.99 - where it’s also revealed that 60 have already been bought.

There might be some buyer’s remorse when they eventually clock the second interpretation.
