THIS WEEK, BEYONCÉ’S father Mathew Knowles appeared on a Houston radio show and claimed that all those divorce rumours and family feuds were all just part of a ‘jedi mind trick’ to boost ticket sales for Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s On The Run tour.
Right then.
Knowles was appearing on The Roula and Ryan Show on 104.1 KRBE when he was asked about the infamous elevator fight between Solange and Jay-Z as well as those pesky divorce rumours.
He started by saying that it was a ploy to “ignite” ticket sales.
The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of times, so things you see sometimes are [makes explosion noise].
He was then asked whether he thought Solange and Jay-Z knew they were being recorded when they had their little elevator brawl.
All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everybody’s talking about it, ticket sales went up, Solange’s album sales went up 200%.
Okay, Mathew. Whatever you say.
Finally, he openly speculated that Destiny’s Child might reform for another album or tour.
There might be another Destiny’s Child album coming. There might be this tour that makes history.
Sounds like another one of your Jedi mind trick to us, Mathew, but we can dream.
