Big hugs all round on international 'Hug a Tall Person Day'

Know a tall person? Go on – give them a good old cuddle. It’s a tall order.

IF YOU KNOW a tall person, make sure you hug them today. If you are a tall person, make sure you get a hug today. There is a good reason, honest: it’s international ‘Hug a Tall Person Day’.

A group on Facebook with 1.2 million members worldwide has declared today, Friday, 11 February, ‘Hug a Tall Person Day’ so make sure you get your hugs in.

According to the group, tall is defined as 6ft plus for men and 5ft 10in for women.

The group is “for all those tall people that feel left out and never get hugs because they’re too tall! We need one day a year when we get hugs no matter what.”
