Why I Love... The Body Shop's Matte Lip Liquids

These lip liquids go on like a dream and stay on too.

LIPS ARE A tricky thing. They can be too dry, too flaky or else you’re just having one of those days where nothing looks good on them.

Sometimes you just want a product that you can carry around in your handbag and have on hand when you need to pep yourself up a bit. Step forward The Body Shop who offer their beautiful range of Matte Lip Liquids.

As someone who enjoys wearing the reddest lipstick I can find on nights out, I find it a bit harder to find an everyday colour that suits my skin tone and doesn’t clash with my bright red hair.

I found that the Crete Carnation shade was the best shade for me. It’s not too pale but just noticeable enough that you can have it on when you’re going out for lunch or if you’re going out for the night and don’t want to go too red.

These lip liquids are something that I have on me 24/7 because they’re just so handy to have. They go on easily and stay in place for hours on end. They also don’t dry out your lips which when your lips are as dry as mine is a huge bonus.

One of the biggest bonuses about these is that they stay on. You can eat and drink and the colour is still going to be there after the whole thing which doesn’t always happen with lip products. A setting spray only enhances this effect.

They’re available in 12 different shades and you can get a correspondent lip liner too which completes the look should you need it. Plus they’re cruelty free which is always a good thing!

The only drawback about these products is that they are on the slightly expensive side with the lip liquid and lip liner costing €13.50 each. That being said they are so good that when I misplaced my lip liner, I immediately went out and bought a replacement so they are worth buying and they do last a good while.

If you’re willing to spend the money these lip liquids are definitely worth it and are still cheaper than a Kylie Jenner lip kit.
