Cardi B was later photographed with a large bruise above her right eye as she left the party. The back of her dress was also torn.

According to Variety, Cardi’s bump on her forehead was the result of being elbowed by Nicki’s security team. Nicki, who was unharmed in the encounter, was quickly escorted downstairs by Nicki’s security team.

It’s alleged that Nicki or a member of Nicki’s team made remarks about Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture. New York City Police Department is investigating the incident.

Following the incident, Cardi took to Instagram to address the scuffle.

“I’ve worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f**k with my success!” she wrote.

Without referring to Nicki by name, she continued.

I’ve let a lot of shit slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f*** up the way I eat! You’ve threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop f****** with them!!
I let you talk big shit about me!! I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f****** off!!”

Nicki is yet to comment on the altercation.
