JIM CARREY SHOWED up at a Harper’s Bazaar party at New York Fashion week and took part in one of the most bizarre interviews we’ve ever seen on a red carpet.
The event was celebrating Harper’s Icons, hosted by Carine Roitfeld at the Plaza. E! news reporter Catt Sadler spotted Carrey on the red carpet and grabbed him for a quick chat.
She wasn’t expecting this existential crisis.
First, he circled her like they were having a little dance
Then he immediately started saying the event meant nothing
There’s no meaning to any of this. So I wanted to find the most meaningless thing that I could come to and join and here I am.
You gotta admit, it’s completely meaningless.
When Sadler pointed out that it’s to celebrate icons, he simply said:
Well that is the absolute lowest aiming possibility that we could come up with.
I don’t believe in icons. I don’t believe that you exist, but there’s a wonderful fragrance in the air.
ER.
Cat’s face is a dream
‘What have I done?’
When she compliments his outfit he slams her down even harder
No I didn’t get dressed up. There is no me.
He went on to confirm that ‘we don’t matter’, and ‘that’s the good news’.
But many thought he was talking sense
Poor Cat
