Incredible X-ray shows chainsaw stuck in man's neck

The tree trimmer survived the accident in Pittsburgh and is now recovering.

A PROFESSIONAL TREE trimmer is recovering after a chainsaw embedded itself in his neck.

James Valentine was rushed to hospital in Pittsburgh after the accident happened while up a tree on Monday afternoon.

Here’s the X-ray taken after he was admitted to hospital:

Following the accident his co-workers helped him down, and left the saw in place to try to limit the bleeding.

Valentine had emergency surgery at Allegheny General Hospital. Doctors say the saw missed major arteries and instead cut into muscle. The hospital Tuesday released an X-ray showing the saw still in the 21-year-old’s neck.

Valentine works for Adler Tree Service in Gibsonia. Owner Dominic Migliozzi calls the rescue “amazing.”
