Charlie Sheen has psychiatric tests after NY hotel incident

The actor has been released from hospital following an “episode” at the Plaza Hotel in New York.

ACTOR CHARLIE SHEEN has been released from hospital after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation following reports that he had been screaming and throwing furniture out of a hotel window in New York.

Sheen agreed to the evaluation shortly after police found his room at the famed Plaza Hotel trashed early Tuesday morning, according to ABC News.

Sheen’s publicist has said that he actor was having “an adverse allergic reaction to some medication”.

Police commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters: “No arrests were made. It’s not a complaint.”

It has not yet been established whether the incident will have an affect on Sheen’s probation, which was due to end next week.

Last August, the actor pleaded guilty to assault in connection with a Christmas 2009 domestic dispute involving wife Brooke Mueller Sheen. He was sentenced to 30 days of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and placed on probation for three months.

Sheen’s ex-wife, actor Denise Richards, was staying at a different room in the hotel with their two children.
