A DILIGENT POSTMAN was delivering mail to Leanne Preston’s home in north Somerset at the weekend.
He saw a chicken escaping.
And being a great guy, he left this delivery note:
Saw your chicken escape through the hedge to the side of the building and go into 4B’s garden at 13.15Number of items: 1 chickenCould not be delivered because: it’s too large
Leanne explained on Facebook that her chicken – named Windmill – had since been recaptured, and the hole in the hedge filled. She told the BBC the chicken was “a bit of Houdini”.
The postman in question has yet to be identified, but Royal Mail have said they’re trying:
