so many hands

This is the celebrity pregnancy photo to end all celebrity pregnancy photos

Ciara’s new pregnancy photo is… a lot to take in.

CELEBRITY ARE A law unto themselves when it comes to pregnancy photos.

From Demi Moore’s iconic Vanity Fair cover back in the day to Beyoncé donning a veil to announce that she was expecting twins, celebrities are constantly pushing barriers and one-upping each other.

And singer Ciara has just thrown down the gauntlet.

You will, of course, remember Ciara from her hits Goodies, 1, 2 Step and Love Sex Magic. She’s pretty fab.

She’s currently expecting a child with husband Russell Wilson, an NFL player with the Seattle Seahawks. (She previously had a child with rapper Future.)

She’s been having a delightful pregnancy so far.

Take, for instance, this video of her dancing to I’m Every Woman in honour of the late Whitney Houston. We defy you to watch it without getting giddy/wanting a night out with the girls.

She’s featured in Harper’s Bazaar this month, discussing her pregnancy and motherhood. The usual, you know yourself.

And the feature includes the pregnancy photo to end all pregnancy photos.

That is a photo of a very pregnant Ciara holding her toddler son while her husband embraces her bump from behind and hides his face in the small of her back.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are so many hands and not a lot of faces. It gets even more confusing/trippy if you zoom in.

It’s a beautiful photo, to be sure, but it’s also… a lot to take in.

“You know what this photograph needs? More hands.”

We’ll just leave this here.
