No skyscraper is safe now that Spider-Man is back. This time, Peter Parker has to contend with villain Electro (Jamie Foxx) and try to save New York. He gets to kiss Gwen (Emma Stone) though, so life isn’t all that bad.

Avoid if: You want to remember Emma at her best
Ah, lads. We love Emma Thompson deeply, but this sort of fluff really doesn’t show off her skills at their best. Come back, Emma of old! Still, if you want a bit of a break from thinking too hard, go see this. It does look rather fun.

Avoid if: You’re not into stereotypes
Cameron Diaz teams up with Leslie Mann and Kate Upton for a female-centred film about three women who find out the same guy (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, aka Jeremy Lannister) has been cheating on them all. If I told you they plotted to get back at him, you wouldn’t be surprised. Stereotypes abound.
