Conchita Wurst was so inspiring on Graham Norton - and here's that moment

She talked about her beard in the greatest possible way.

EUROVISION WINNER Conchita Wurst was on the Graham Norton Show last night.

She discussed her victory in Copenhagen, and said how happy she was to receive congratulations from Elton John and Cher.

And she talked about her iconic beard in a genuinely moving way.

Asked about it by Norton, she talked about her tricky childhood as a member of the gay community in a small Austrian village:

And then, the killer line:

There was instant applause.

So here’s the reason for the beard:

I created this bearded lady. It’s my own truth. I felt more comfortable on stage; it’s fun and expresses everything I feel [...] You’ve just got one life and you’ve got to make it fabulous.

And with that, she won the hearts and minds of Twitter:
