YOUR SCHOOL DAYS might not have been the best days of your life, but there were things you could do there that would never fly in your adult life:
1. Like constantly tip-exing your name on to friends’ school bags
Try that now with your friend’s fancy bag and they would be all “WHAT are you doing?”
2. Writing gas things on every cast you came across
“Somebody has a cast over there.”
“Cool! Let’s go write gas things all over it right now.”
Adult life requires you to ask if they are OK and not draw on their injured limb.
3. Signing people’s clothes before you go on your summer holidays
The best momento. It would ruin people’s good work clothes now.
4. Coming back from holidays with a brand new, out there hairstyle
5. The circle game
For those not familiar, it was the game where you make a circle with your hand and anyone who looks at it gets a clip on the arm.
There is no justifying it.
6. Scrawling hilarious graffiti on the wall of the jacks
7. Covering your wrists with these
8. And not forgetting mood rings
9. Rolling your skirt up like a boss

10. Having one of these beasts
Nobody in real life needs the green pen.
And even if you do use one, it's not considered cool at all.
11. Wearing your school bag on one shoulder
As an adult, looking cool is less important than comfortably holding the bag.
All changed, changed utterly.
12. Friendship bracelets were passed around like currency
13. Roller blading everywhere was a perfectly acceptable form of transport
14. Covering as many of your possessions as possible in these little badges
15. Cutting thumb holes in your jumper just for the craic
16. And finally... sitting down the back of the bus was the *only* place to be
Now, there is a certain comfort about the front.
