LAST NIGHT, ELON Musk’s SpaceX launched a rocket that carried 10 satellites into orbit from California – leaving a spectacular trail in the sky in the process.
Despite warnings to the public before the launch, it caused widespread confusion on the ground – with “calls coming in to TV stations as far afield as San Diego, more than 200 miles south of the launch site.”
Musk shared a video taken below of people confused by what they were seeing, and added a jokey caption on Twitter:
“Nuclear alien UFO from North Korea”

One person seemingly not convinced by SpaceX’s launch video and press announcements is Demi Lovato.
She says that it was a UFO and is calling “bullshit” on SpaceX’s explanation
Is she… joking? The tone of the tweet seems to be deadly serious.
And it’s provoked quite a response
Within 12 hours, the tweet had amassed over 70,000 interactions – and Demi hasn’t responded to the tens of thousands of people calling her conspiracy theory out with countless pieces of evidence.
People are aware that she’s not an expert in the field
And many still believe that she’s joking
Is she parodying other responses? The fact that she mentions SpaceX means she knows about their launch last night – so it wasn’t an instant reaction to seeing some mad sh*t in the sky.
Nobody expected this, but 2017 is the trash bag that keeps on giving – so we can’t rule anything out
Stranger things have happened
She should have one main worry at this point though
The world awaits clarification, before Demi gets put in the same category as rapper B.o.B.
