Why you should care about the Destiny's Child reunion

It needs to happen at the Super Bowl and Ant & Dec agree. And so should you.

WE ALL KNOW Beyonce is performing at the Super Bowl this weekend and today she teased some rehearsal footage ahead of the big day.

The big rumour is that Destiny’s Child will join Beyonce to perform some of their classic hits.

Michelle Williams says it’s not happening but some people reckon that’s her keeping it a surprise. Crafty.

Either way we’re excited but truthfully we are really in this for a Destiny’s Child return. Let us explain why.

There was turmoil within the band’s line-up in their early days. At one point the group looked like this:

Soon, Michelle Williams joined and the band’s destiny (GEDDIT) as a threepiece was soon to be formed.

Between releasing hits and line-up changes Destiny’s Child became a trio and their true reign would begin.

Destiny’s Child were really successful and won lots of awards.

Lots.

OK now you’re just showing off girls…

Nothing could stop the girls from garnering accolades. They even accepted stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the pouring rain. So inspiring.

Destiny’s Child were always graceful and elegant on stage, as Beyonce demonstrates here:

They began to enjoy the friendship of other high-profile celebrities who would support them at album launches and such.

They even graced Prince Charles with their presence. Don’t they look like they’re having fun?

Stars even paid tribute to them. At the 2005 World Music Awards Rihanna performed Lose My Breath in front of the girls alongside Amerie (of 1 Thing fame) and Teairra Mari (of, we’re not quite sure fame). It was really something.

(If that isn’t enough tribute action you can also watch Babyface and Usher at the same show performing for the ladies. Patti LaBelle sings to them too and Michelle cries in that one. Alot.)

Sometimes it wasn’t easy for Destiny’s Child. Even Queen Beyonce can have the odd grumpy moment.

And even when they fell, they weren’t afraid to get back up. Literally. Isn’t that right Michelle?

Poor Michelle. No seriously, Poor Michelle is the best thing on the internet.

Just reading about all of Destiny’s Child achievements is exhausting. Let’s take a break and sip on a refreshing drink

And remind ourselves of one of their biggest hits.

To sum up: Girls we really want you to perform together on Sunday, stop messing us around. Thank you.
