It turns out that Jon Hamm is a massive fan of Domhnall Gleeson's ancient RTÉ sketch show

This was unexpected.

DOMHNALL GLEESON WAS out in Utah at the Sundance film festival this week promoting his movie A Futile and Stupid Gesture, about the life of a comedy writer during the rise and fall of National Lampoon.

Mike Ryan, a writer for UPROXX, happened to be interviewing him and Martin Mull (Mr Kraft from Sabrina!), right after he had sat down to chat to Jon Hamm.

Yes, that Jon Hamm!

So, Mike asked Jon Hamm if he had anything to say to Domhnall, that he could pass on.

What Hamm said next was er, completely unexpected.

Mike: Jon Hamm said to mention to Domhnall that he loves your comedy troupe…

Domhnall: From Ireland?

Mike: Yes.

Domhnall: Which is a mad thing! That Jonn Hamm…

Mike: He went out of his way to mention it.

Domhnall explained…

I did a tiny sketch show in Ireland [Your Bad Self] for a while and then made more sketches of my own to raoise money for the house when my grandparents died, with my dad and some people, and we put them online to raise money and stuff. And I’ve heard through various people. Including like, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen, they come up to me at a thing to say that they’d really liked it, that Jon Hamm had told them.

The show was later produced for a show on RTÉ.

So. Jon Hamm is telling everyone about Domhnall’s little sketches from ‘back home’, which he then said is ‘the most amazing thing in the world’.

The two were invloved with Black Mirror in the past but have never directly worked together. We need to change this, soon.

Maybe we’ll all be OK, after all.
