Here's the massive queue outside a Galway pub this morning for Donegal Tuesday

The tradition lives on.

DONEGAL TUESDAY IS one of the more bizarre traditions of Galway RAG week. Students put on Donegal jerseys and flock to the Hole in the Wall for a day of boozing.

Why? Why not.

According to an early Facebook page set up for the annual event, it began seven as a celebration of ‘Daniel O’Donnell, Football Special, Jim McGuinness and all things from the hills!’

Judging by the scenes at 9.30am this morning, it’s still going strong:

They’ve even got special jerseys this year

And hey, it’s getting students out of bed before noon

Godspeed, and stay safe
