Fresh from performing Fairytale of New York for the Late Late audience, Ed Sheeran has spent his weekend pondering what the UK would be like with him in the top job.

That’s because a poll of under 16s identified Ed as the most popular choice to take over from Theresa May as Prime Minister. Ed fired up Instagram this morning with his initial thoughts:

Could he do a better job at the Brexit negotiations than May’s team? Hard to know, but the compulsory ketchup policy would be a strong, common sense vote winner for Sheeran.
