And now it looks as if the two are set to cross paths.

The singer was spotted on the soap set earlier and the official Twitter account for Home and Away later confirmed that the singer was indeed hanging out in Summer Bay.
A spokesperson for Channel 7 confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the singer would play himself in an upcoming episode of the soap, but declined to comment on the storyline.
Sheeran was photographed walking arm-in-arm with Marilyn Chambers on set.

So, are we to take it that Ed is a fan of Home and Away? There are two compelling pieces of evidence to back this theory up.

Conclusion: he’s a die-hard fan.
