POLICE IN ESSEX have appealed for public assistance in trying to find a burglar they have dubbed ‘Goldilocks’ – because he breaks into houses, sleeps in his victims’ beds and eats their food before leaving.
Jesse Dobinson, 19, is accused of stealing electrical items from the houses in which he slept.
“We called him Goldilocks as we believe he has not only eaten his victims food, but also slept in their beds,” an Essex detective inspector said.
Dobinson is suspected of a series of incidents which took place in February and March, as well as an assault in which a victim was shot in the chest with a BB gun.
He is also wanted over an assault in which a man was held at knifepoint while his mobile phone and some cash were stolen.
