THE CHRISTMAS TOY Show, which is currently being held in the RDS, has announced that several of the much sought-after Frozen dolls will be among prizes in a daily raffle being held throughout the event.

The event kicked off on Saturday and organisers reported on Facebook that dolls “flew off the shelves” and they have now decided to raffle five dolls off each day for the rest of the week.

Event organisers told DailyEdge.ie:

Each person that comes to the Christmas Toy Show will get a free raffle ticket and at the end of every hour between 12-5pm from Monday to Friday we will be picking a lucky winner’s ticket out of the hat. The winner will be announced and will get a free Snow Glow Elsa with compliments of the Christmas Toy Show.

The news comes as demand for the elusive Snow Glow Elsa has reached fever pitch. Last week saw hundreds of Irish parents queue up in the wee hours for the doll only for it to sell out almost immediately.

One incident saw Gardaí being called to a Smyths outlet located in Airside Retail Park in Swords, Co. Dublin after a fight broke out between parents.

Meanwhile, other customers complained of poorly managed queues and called for a ticketing system to be implemented next time.

A spokesperson for Smyths toys told DailyEdge.ie that they have yet to confirm when the doll will be back in stock and described the unprecedented demand for the toy as “phenomenal”.

The demand for Frozen has been nothing short of phenomenal. Stocks on some items are limited, however we still have a great range of Frozen products in stock in Ireland including the Anna’s Adventure Sleigh Set, the Figurine Story Set, and Pull Apart Olaf, as well as the Frozen annual, scooter, headphones and more. We’d encourage parents to buy early or keep an eye on SmythsToys.com where they can buy online or check stock levels in their local store.

As for how details of when the toy will be back in stock will be communicated, Smyths advises parents to keep a close eye on the product’s page for details.

Or you could just visit online marketplaces like Done Deal or Adverts.ie, the latter of which has several dolls up for sale for in excess of €100.

One doll even sold for €180.
