in the name of love

A photographer lost a client over gay pride but had this perfect response to them

Nailed it.

MEET CLINTON BRENTWOOD Lee – a man from Florida who is the most talked about photographer on the internet today.

He does all sorts of photography, but specialises in weddings

Over the weekend, like so many people on Facebook, Clinton changed his company’s Facebook page profile picture to celebrate pride

He then received a message from this client – who wasn’t happy about the change

The client’s message read:

Greetings Brentwood. We would just like to inform you we will NOT be using your services for out wedding. My fiancé and I support traditional marriage between a man and a woman and don’t want our money going to places that supports otherwise. Secondly I would like to inquire about how we can get our retainer back from you. Thanks.

The full text of the exchange can be found here, but Clinton is winning praise all over the internet for not keeping the client’s non-refundable deposit – but he didn’t return it to them either:

At Brentwood Photography we see love in all forms. Now as far as your retainer goes, I hope you’ll read the first article in the contract you signed stating that this retainer is nonrefundable.
But don’t you worry, I’m not going to keep it!
Because of this conversation, I have decided to donate your $1500 to GLAD, a group created to help and support gay rights.

The exchange has gone super viral, with over 60,000 likes and nearly 10,000 shares. It’s also doubled Clinton’s page likes – as he has been inundated with positivity for standing up for all the gay weddings that he has done and will do in the future.

This is now his company’s cover photo
