George Lucas hasn't seen and doesn't care about the new Star Wars trailer

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

YOU WOULD THINK as the brains behind the Star Wars franchise that George Lucas might be mildly curious to look at the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

But nope!

According to Page Six, George Lucas has not yet watched the teaser trailer, which dropped nearly a fortnight ago.

When asked what he made of the clip, he told the newspaper:

I don’t know anything about it. I haven’t seen it yet.

His reasoning? He doesn’t much care for looking at stuff on his laptop screen.

I like going to the movies and watching the whole thing there. I plan to see it when it’s released.

And yet Lucas doesn’t really seem to care about the final product. When the newspaper asked if he was excited to see what director JJ Abrams did with the film, he replied, “Not really.”

The teaser trailer hit the internet on November 28th and has since been viewed over 70 million times.

The highly anticipated film will hit cinemas on December 18th 2015.
