Hashimoto’s disease

Gigi Hadid explained her autoimmune disease to body shamers who called her "too skinny" at NYFW

She walked in Jeremy Scott’s A/W show.

GIGI HADID HAS  few words for people who were calling her “too skinny” over the course of New York Fashion Week.

The 22 year-old supermodel, who was diagnosed with the autoimmune condition Hashimoto’s disease two years ago, went on a bit of a Twitter rant after walking in Jeremy Scott’s A/W 2018 show.

She noted the double standards of the criticism, explaining that in the midst of the disease, she was considered “too big” by industry standards.

She explained that as her body has adjusted to being properly medicated, she has lost weight as a result.

She also denied that her weight loss was as a result of recreational drugs, and said she would not continue to “explain the way my body looks”.

Fellow supermodel Lily Aldridge took to Twitter to support her pal, sharing how the pair even ate a KFC Fully Loaded Feast the night before.

Fair, tbh.

Fellow celebs Ruby Rose and Chrissy Teigen also tweeted their support for the star.
