DURING THE SUMMER, American rapper Gucci Mane was making his way around Europe on his first ever trip overseas (thanks to some run-ins with US authorities in the past).
One of the places he ended up was Ireland, and we saw him chilling in the grounds of the luxury K Club hotel in Kildare. Nobody really knew why, but it was pretty cool:
Last night we found out what he was doing there when he dropped his new music video for his Members Only single.
And it’s shot on the grounds and in the building of the Kildare country club
It doesn’t get off to the best start though – misspelling Ireland in the first shot

It then moves on to a sweeping overhead shot of the main estate
We see Gucci playing golf on the famous course
Spitting rhymes in the gardens
At one point, a staff member drives him around in a classic car
DailyEdge.ie has contacted The K Club to see how this wonderful, surreal situation came about. We also have a few thoughts for them:
- Firstly, congrats. Gucci Mane shot a video in your hotel – that’s pretty class
- Did Gucci make it down in time for breakfast the next morning?
- Who got to drive him around in that car?
- Do you now get a discount if you can recite the Members Only rap in full at reception upon checking in?
The video – which already has nearly half a million views – coincides with the release of his album Mr Davis today.
