Pic: This rescue dog is unbelievably happy going to his new home

Clarke was just hours from being put to sleep when he found a new owner.

LAST WEEK, THIS dog was within days of being put to sleep after being found abandoned and brought to Monaghan County Council Pound.

But Clarke – formerly known as Monaghan Pound Dog Reference 12 – was helped out by the volunteers at Carrick Dog Shelter and now has a new home.

Staff took a photo of him on his way there. DOES HE LOOK A BIT HAPPY ABOUT IT?

Er, YES.

We’re also very happy for Clarke, and all the other rescued dogs.

More: These nine dogs have less than 48 hours to live if they can’t be re-homed>
