Has Ashton Kutcher's Twitter been Punk'd?

Two messages posted on the actor’s account earlier today suggest it was hacked, but RWW says it’s odd such a prolific user hasn’t deleted them yet.

HOLLYWOOD ACTOR ASHTON KUTCHER’s Twitter account was apparently hacked as he attended a TED conference event today, Read Write Web reports.

At the time of writing, two Tweets written by the apparent hackers remained on Kutcher’s account.

The first plays on one of Kutcher’s film titles as well as a TV show he hosted:

Ashton, you’ve been Punk’d. This account is not secure. Dude, where’s my SSL?

The second reads:

P.S. This is for those young protesters around the world who desrve not to have their Facebook & Twitter account hacked like this. #SSL

Kutcher’s delay at removing the messages, however, has prompted RWW to comment that the situation is “odd”.

The actor has over 6.3m followers and is known for his over-sharing Twitter habits, often posting comments about his wife actress Demi Moore and photos of her.

Kutcher has claimed he enjoys posting photos on Twitter because it reduces the market for paparazzi photos of the couple:

The immediacy of it (Twitter) is great. The connection people have with each other and the pool of individuals out there. It’s a beautiful environment. You can take the control back in your relationship with the media. You can dictate your own view. My ability to self-publish has resulted in a big reduction in strangers following me around with cameras.
