Why are people drenching their phones in Coca Cola?

IN ‘IPHONE TESTS nobody ever asked for, ever’, we have the iPhone 6 Coca-Cola test.

What does the test involve?

Pouring coke all over your iPhone. Like proper drowning it.

But… why?

We really have no idea, but it’s not the first time this has happened. The test has also been done on a Nokia 3310 and a Sony Xperia.

Is there some sort of underground coca cola iPhone testing lab we’re not aware of? Is it some bizarre and low-budget Coca Cola marketing stunt? Or Apple?
