This Irish comedian’s April Fools’ prank on his kids has gone global

Casually getting covered by US news channels.

EARLIER THIS MORNING, Irish stand-up comedian Joe Heenan fired up Twitter knowing that #AprilFools is all anyone would be talking about for the whole day.

Then he sent out this:

In six hours it’s been retweeted nearly 4000 times – and the whole world is either applauding or giving out about such an excellent/cruel prank.

It’s been picked up by an ABC-affiliated news station in the US

And The Mirror in the UK too

It popped up in The Guardian liveblog earlier today as well – under the heading ‘Parents’ cruel pranks’

Taking into account that Joe and his two kids went viral earlier this year on World Book Day

And the fact that he’s one of the best comedians for taking the absolute piss on Twitter

We’re going to guess that the iPad prank this morning was well orchestrated in advance with the young ‘uns fully aware of what was coming

Well played, though.
