IT MIGHT NOT have went our way on the pitch yesterday, but over the last month the Irish fans have been absolute heroes off it:
1. We had our priorities right throughout
2. And even in defeat, we showed our class
3. We witnessed the birth of the Tin Whistle girl legend in Cardiff yesterday
4. And she even managed to pass it on to the Argentinian coach after the loss
He’ll cherish it, surely.
5. When Paul O’Connell had played his last game for Ireland, we remembered him appropriately
More Paul O’Connell-themed cars are a must from now on.
6. The Irish fans’ love of Michael D was ever present
7. Even when we weren’t playing, we were still the loudest fans in the ground
7. The wonderful story about how this heroic couple saved the day for three Irish fans that lost their tickets summed up our spirit
They made a sign and didn’t stop looking for the ticket owners until they were safely returned.
8. The Irish pranksters outside Wembley had this message
Cue confusion reigning from every non Irish fan there.
9. Our flag work was comedy gold at times
10. And we knew how to celebrate a win
11. Cheering the lads on during the matches was never a problem either

12. These Irish fans on the tube belted out a few classics – our support just never stopped
The craic was 24/7.
13. We did everything we could to make it to the games
True Irish fan innovation. And the flag out the front let everyone in Cardiff know who they were supporting.
14. We even took that inventiveness to our costume game
15. And finally… the two heroes that paddled down the river in Cardiff to get to the France game never gave up
We’ll get there by any means necessary.
We may be out, but we certainly left our mark on this Rugby World Cup.
