KENDALL JENNER HAS really landed herself in some hot water that maybe even a Pepsi can’t fix.
The reality TV star turned model incensed a bunch of models for remarks she made to Love Magazine:
Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do. More power to ’em.
Her fellow models were not impressed with her flippant comment to say the least.
Victoria Secret’s model Jac Jagaciak wrote:
This makes me so angry. So disrespectful to literally 99% of people in the industry — yes, they had to work their way up. Please get in touch with the real world!
Another model, Daria Strokous, was practically fit to be tied.
Over a screenshot of Kendall’s photo from the interview’s shoot, Daria wrote:
Whatever the fuck those girls do’ is do their very best to make their way up AND try to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families.
And then for good measure Daria added:
Oh, and it’s 70 shows a season by the way and we are all fucking proud of every single one of the girls that did it.
Yikes!
Daria also made a video of numerous models walking down the catwalk on her Instagram story, with Aretha Franklin’s hit song ‘Respect’ playing over it.
There were instantly recognizable supermodels like Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, who have all worked their way up to the top of their game from the bottom.
Like Drake.
The overall point was that Kendall started off life with a headstart. She’s the daughter of an Olympic Gold medalist/millionaire and of the ex-wife of the (in)famous lawyer who defended OJ Simpson. This blessed start in life was a springboard for Kendall to launch her modelling career.
Last year Kendall was the highest paid model in the world, raking in a total of $22 million.
Gisele Bundchen ($17.5 million), Chrissy Teigen ($13.5 million) and Adriana Lima ($10.5 million), three models who have been around for more than a decade, came directly after her. Gigi Hadid rounded off the top five with earnings of $9.5 million.
Underneath Love Magazine’s Instagram photo of her, there was a mixed bag of comments.
Many thought the remark was entitled:
Yeah… don’t think this is one that a Pepsi can smooth over?
