It was World Book Day today and kids slayed us with their adorable costumes

TODAY IS WORLD Book Day and, to mark the occasion, children are dressing up as their favourite book characters.

Naturally, parents are taking photos of their baby bookworms and sharing them on social media. Authors like JK Rowling and Neil Gaiman are joining in on the fun and the result is a heartwarming celebration of all things books.

JK Rowling tweeted a selection of kids dressed up in Harry Potter garb

Special shout out to this little Draco – the resemblance is uncanny

Neil Gaiman was mighty impressed

There were several Katniss Everdeens

And there were a lot of Mr. Stinks

(Mr. Stink is, of course, the character from David Walliams’ series of books for children.)

Chris O’Dowd shared this stellar Moone Boy effort.

Meanwhile, this kid’s Dad didn’t get the memo and accidentally dressed his kid up as a book.
