BETWEEN ICE BUCKET challenges and #nomakeupselfies, 2014 has been a somewhat trying year to be on social media.
The latest viral charity initiative is #Kiss4Crumlin, a social media campaign that invites people to share a selfie of themselves kissing someone or something that’s close to their hearts, all in honour of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
Hundreds of people have tweeted selfies using the hashtag since the campaign launched on Monday and each one is lovelier than the next.
Ah, would you look?
This hero used it as an opportunity to lob the gob on Zayn Malik.
Dogs are getting in on it, too. #SmoochyPooches
And babies!
Would your heart be able?
Parents of children who have been treated and cared for in Crumlin have jumped on board.

Best one might go to this cat, who is really getting in there.
Participants are encouraged to challenge three other people to participate and text KISS to 50300. Each text will donate €2 to The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation (CMRF).
A spokesperson for CMRF told DailyEdge.ie that the campaign has raised €10,500 since it was launched on Monday.
The campaign will run for another 10 days so we want to encourage as many people as possible to get behind the campaign and text KISS to 50300 to make a €2 donation.
Pucker up, one and all.
