EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.
Ant McPartlin’s wife Lisa Armstrong has hit back at a Twitter user who said she was “throwing away her marriage”, following rumours that the pair are set to split.
Someone on Twitter claimed Lisa was giving up on the marriage because of Ant’s recently revealed problems with substance abuse:
Can’t believe your throwing your marriage away after all them years I’ve been addicted to codeine and unless you have been there you wouldn’t understand waking up in morning kidneys hurting for the habit to be fed educate yourself about it first
The Strictly makeup artist responded:
Educate yourself first love and get your facts rights. You don’t know!! Sorry for your pain x
Pipe down, haters. (Mirror)
Laura Simpson – the woman Wayne Rooney was with when he was stopped for drink driving in September – has reportedly asked for £75,000 to appear on Celebrity Big Brother and “tell all” about that infamous night.
The new series is set to be an all-female cast, and Simpson is apparently in negotiations to be a part of it, according to The Sun.
She’s not been shy about referencing the night on social media, and the producers are apparently keen to have her as a part of the show.
A “source” told the paper:
She’s been offered £55k, but she’s demanding £75k. Laura has a really good job and a lot of work throughout January, so to sacrifice all of that for £55k wouldn’t be beneficial to her.
She’s offered the producers a detailed step by step run through of everything that happened between her and Rooney in the house. It’s definitely going to be something that is brought up in conversation.
She is, however, reluctant to give away anything on the claim that Coleen phoned her up after the incident and demanded that she “tell me the truth”:
The only thing she’s reluctant to talk about in depth is her phone conversation with Coleen, however, Laura likes to party so after a few drinks who knows what she might reveal.
Hmmm.
The all-female CBB is set to start in January, and the speculation about the line up is hitting fever pitch.
Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova welcomed twins over the weekend, and did everything to keep their pregnancy “completely secret.”
A source told People Magazine that hardly anyone knew about the couple’s first babies together:
A friend told me like five months ago [that] they were pregnant but keeping it very, very undercover.
They basically only hang out with family and very close friends. They mostly keep to themselves.
