A VERY SPECIAL Gogglebox aired on Channel 4 last night – packed with celebrities there to raise awareness for the station’s Stand Up To Cancer initiative.
It was quite the line-up: Jeremy Corbyn, Jessica Hynes, Liam Gallagher, Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp, Ed Sheeran, Big Narstie, Example and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
So many people were excited just to see Liam Gallagher watching telly with his son Gene and his Irish mam Peggy
It started with them making a family cup of tea, and everyone knew they were in for the most wholesome night
Peggy was very aware that Gene’s new stirring technique was just for the cameras:

University Challenge was one of the first shows up, and Liam was actually so proud when Gene got three answers right
That’s good going.
A family chat later in the episode revealed that Liam can’t swim, Peggy (originally from Mayo) is an expert in the pool and that she’s recently recovered from knee surgery. So her son suggested she could be on Strictly next:
“I wouldn’t go that far Liam”
Shows like Nigella Lawson and Blue Planet came and went, and then a special insert for Stand Up To Cancer was played in full.
It was called “Eve’s Story”, and it was heartbreaking
It was followed by “Annalesha’s Story” – a short documentary about a woman’s breast cancer diagnosis
It all got a bit much for the Gallaghers, and Liam dragged Gene into him for the most affectionate little headlock
It was a touching moment
In fact, it was the Gallagher family that went down as the most genuine and entertaining all night

Imagine this on a weekly basis
Only yesterday Liam revealed that his mam loved the Gogglebox experience, even though she played hard to get when the idea was pitched
The sisters would have got a shock seeing her pop up.
