RUMOURS ABOUND THAT Lily Allen is to replace Cheryl Cole as a UK X Factor judge, when Cheryl jets to the USA to take over jduging duties Stateside.
Dublin radio station 98FM presenter Brendan O’Loughlin tweeted mysteriously this morning:
A source very, very, very close to #XFactor tells me the US judges are Simon Cowell, LA Reid, Cheryl Cole, Nicki Minaj and Paula Abdul.
The very, very, very close source also tells me Lily Allen is replacing Cheryl on the UK version…
It’s not yet known when the X Factor will announce the presenters, but the next season is due to begin filming this summer.
However, American website TMZ said that Nicki Minaj will not be a judge on the show.
Welsh TV presenter Steve Jones has said he is still in the running for the job of hosting the US version of the show, although Dermot O’Leary, well known as a UK X Factor host, is not in with a chance.
Konnie Huq has quit as presenter of the behind-the-scenes show the Xtra Factor, after just one season, Now magazine reports. She is making the leap to the Discovery channel and will begin filming soon in China.
