The Mercury Prize nominated artist called out the fan and got security to remove him from the venue, after he reportedly shouted, “you have big tits” at support act Elisa & Srigala.

Video taken at the gig shows Carner on stage addressing a person in the audience at Nick Rayns LCR at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.

“I’m sorry man, you gotta learn a lesson my young man,” he says in the video, to cheers and applause from the audience, describing what they were wearing for security.

You gotta go. For being sexist, you gotta go.”

Carner received a lot of support from fans for his actions.

After the show, Carner tweetd to say sexism would not be tolerated “at any show”.

Artists are continuing to call out sexist behaviour at their shows. Earlier this year, the frontman of English metalcore band Architects called out an audience member they witnessed groping a woman at their show.

“If you feel like doing that again … Walk out there and f**k off, and don’t come back,”  Sam Carter said in response.

Good job lads!
