EXACTLY ONE WEEK after the untimely passing of rapper 26-year-old Mac Miller, his ex girlfriend Arianna has posted a sweet tribute to him on Instagram.
While a lot of the narrative around the rapper’s overdose has unfairly included Ariana, she hadn’t commented on his death, simply posting a photo of him last weekend.
But yesterday, Ariana posted a tribute to Mac, real name Malcolm James McCormick, saying she loved him from the day she met him.
She also claimed that she’s sorry she couldn’t fix or remove the pain he was going through.
i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now.
Ariana and Mac were friends for five years and dated for two, before they called it quits in May 2018. She had previously spoken out about how toxic the relationship eventually came due to Mac’s battle with addiction.
Earlier in the week, Grande’s brother Frankie posted a tribute to Miller, crediting him for helping him get sober.
Miller died last Friday of an apparent overdose. Hundreds of fans gathered in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia on Tuesday for a candlelit vigil to pay their respects to the late rapper.
