Man trapped in kid's swing for nine hours has to be cut free

The unidentified man did not sustain any life-threatening injures but what about the embarrassment?

A MAN HAD to be cut from a child’s swing where he had been stuck for nine hours after betting friends he could fit in it.

The unidentified 21-year-old man is alleged to have made a $100 bet with friends that he could fit into the bucket  swing at Blue Rock Springs Park in California, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

After lubing himself up with laundry detergent the man fitted snugly into the swing and its two leg holes at around 9pm on Friday. No doubt boasting at his feat, he soon discovered that he was then unable to get out.

His friends turned were not so friendly after all as  they reportedly left the man.

The 21-year-old was not discovered until 6am the following morning when a groundskeeper heard him screaming for help.

After raising the alarm, the local firefighters arrived on the scene but as the Times-Herald reports, they added insult to injury by deciding the best way to remove the man was to cut the chains off and then transport him to a nearby hospital, still encased in the swing.

It was eventually cut off his body at the Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Centre and where it was reported he sustained non-life threatening injuries.
