A Mayo bus company has a great solution to the never-ending Katy storyline on Fair City

Finally.

FOR EXACTLY ONE year now, it’s been the most ridiculed plot line on Irish television: the continued captivity of Katy O’Brien on Fair City.

Locked away in a garage, fans of the soap have been crying out for the storyline to end for ages now – with a petition simply titled “Fair City needs to end the Katy story line ASAP!” garnering over 7000 signatures in the last couple of months.

Last night, there was an hour-long episode scheduled and people thought this would surely be the end of the saga. But no.

Katy remains a hostage of Ciaran’s, with no end in sight

No luck

Onwards it goes.

Last night, following the non-event of an episode, Mayo bus company Corduff Travel had simply had enough. They want to put an end to this:

“Free bus leaving Mayo to Dublin tomorrow to free Katy and end this for once and for all!”

Now, there’s a plan.

Even though it was posted at 10pm, the proposal quickly went viral with nearly 7000 likes and hundreds of shares.

Perhaps the Fair City writers will take them up on their offer – we can work out the script details at a later date.

The general public are on board

Finally, a solution.

One bus, an angry mob, breaking down the door, taking Katy away to safety and never speaking of this storyline ever again.
