Ellen DeGeneres congratulated Ellen Page on coming out. In an emotional interview with the young actress on her show, Ellen Snr told her: “I am so proud of you for coming out, and I am so happy for you. I know what a scary thing that is.”
Page also said she was thankful to the comedian for coming out herself. “[I'm] grateful to you, because you did it in a time when it was much harder and much scarier,” she said.
