Last night's Moone Boy finale had Ireland in tears

“Ghosts are just imaginary friends who have been left behind”.

SEASON THREE OF Moone Boy came to a close last night with an emotional finale.

SPOILERS AHEAD, obviously.

Between inaccurate historical renactments including Napoleon fighting De Valera and Godzilla, the finale included a cameo from Paul Rudd. He played the ghost of Grandad Moone’s imaginary friend George, who returned to him in his final days.

Yes, Grandad Moone passed away, and it released all the feels.

The imaginary friends all got together to give George a funeral, only to discover that he was still around (albeit in black and white).

But everyone still had Paul Rudd to fall in love with, so it’s not all bad.
