The 11 most important internet reactions to Apple's new emojis

The last one is the most important.

LAST NIGHT, APPLE released an iOS update with a long-awaited set of new emojis.

There was widespread excitement.

The most notable feature of the new emoji lineup is that you can finally include people of different races (yes, apart from Turban Guy).

Everyone starts off yellow…

… then you can press and hold each one to pick a colour.

The move – which comes in response to long-standing criticism about the lack of diversity among the (previously) pale-skinned emojis - sparked intensive discussion online.

The last one is the most important of all.

The yellow colour caused consternation

But the new diversity was welcomed

In all species.

And hair colours.

In fact, many called for it to be extended further

On the downside, there was widespread anger about the continuing absence of a middle finger (of any racial origin)

Not to mention certain EXTREMELY IMPORTANT foodstuffs.

Some people gained in the tweaks…

… while others lost out.

But one man… one man had the most important reaction of all.
