Niall Horan did his first ever solo gig in Dublin last night and went for pints afterwards... it's The Dredge

All the best of the day’s celebrity filth.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Niall Horan kicked off his world tour with an intimate gig in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre last night. It was the Mullingar man’s first ever solo show in Ireland and by all accounts, he acquitted himself very well. (Eoghan McDermott described the gig as “Lumineers on steroids”.)

Afterwards, Niall took to Twitter to thank fans for being sound and paying attention.

Today he’s performing live on Eoghan McDermott’s 2fm radio show and has promised “laughs and tunes”.

And yes, he did enjoy a pint afterwards.

Good man yourself, Niall.

George Clooney has lashed out at Trump as being “in over his head and incapable” of being President of the United States.

Clooney, who donated $1 million to te Southern Poverty Law Centre following Charlottesville was quoted as saying:

It becomes increasingly clear how in over his head and incapable this man is of being president of the United States. The good news is that our other institutions — meaning press, finally, and judges and senators — have proven that the country works. There is a check and balance.

Damn.

He also spoke about being a father of twins at 56 and said Amal Clooney was like an “Olympic athlete”.

I really didn’t think at 56 that I would be the parent of twins. Don’t make plans. You always have to just enjoy the ride.

Westlife’s Shane Filan has revealed how Simon Cowell once politely told him that he was getting “fat”.

Filan was a guest on Loose Women and recalled a time where Cowell informed him he was getting a bit pudgy.

He called me saying, “Shane, it’s Simon. You look a bit fat kiddo.” He was like, “Nobody else will tell you. Your face was on the screen a lot and it’s getting a bit fat.”‘

Classic Cowell.

Filan stated that he had actually put on weight from eating badly and drinking too much.

‘I’d put on weight and I didn’t even realise. I think I was just eating room service and drinking a bit too much.’

He subsequently changed his diet, started training and has never looked back.
