An Irish girl is behind that genius @NoContextLouis Twitter account

Your new favourite Twitter account.

IF YOU’VE BEEN on Twitter over the past few days, chances are that you’ve seen people retweeting an account called No Context Louis.

The account’s premise is simple: No Context Louis shares screengrabs from Louis Theroux’s documentaries and presents them with no context.

The results are rather hilarious.

The account has amassed over 39,000 followers since it launched on Friday, has been featured in Twitter Moments and got a shout-out from the big guy himself.

It’s pretty much everyone’s new favourite Twitter account.

So who’s the genius behind @NoContextLouis? That would be Irish Twitter user @MustardCreams.

She told DailyEdge.ie that she was completely taken aback by how quickly the account took off.  ”I’m delighted people found his one liners as funny as I did,” she said. “I never thought it would ever take off like it did but I’m happy about it.”

As for where she was when Louis Theroux tweeted about the account?

I was at work and I checked my personal Twitter account during a quiet moment and loads of my Twitter pals had tweeted me to tell me about it. I just started laughing, I couldn’t believe such a silly account had garnered enough attention in two days to have reached the big man himself.
I was a bit worried that if he saw it he would think I was making light of the sensitive subjects he deals with in his documentaries, so it was a relief when he tweeted about it.

Amazing.

If you still haven’t followed No Context Louis, what are you doing?
